Our Staff Team
Tim Cheux
Pastor
Hello from the Sunny Carolinas!
My name is Pastor Tim or Coach TJ, yes, I do both! I’m a servant leader passionate about both faith and fitness.
Originally from England, I’ve served in various roles, including Tennis Coach, Soccer Coach, Lead Pastor, Physical Education Teacher, School Chaplain, CEO, and Business/IT Varsity Tutor.
My educational journey includes a Master of Divinity from General Seminary in NYC and BA (Hons) degrees in Marketing and a Masters in Education from the UK.
I am the Founder of the Free & Fit Challenge, which continues creating programs that unite spirit, body, and community.
I’ve had the privilege of working with people of all ages – from PreK to retirees – and I’m excited to connect with you! Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, and whether you have a ton of faith or fitness or none whatsoever!
My heart belongs to sharing Christ’s love and promoting holistic wellness.
I believe faith and fitness intersect – nurturing one strengthens the other.
Let’s grow in faith and maybe, also, learn spiritual fitness as we do physical fitness together!

Church has always held a special place in my heart. My grandfather was a pastor, my grandmother a music director, and my dad sang in church and was always deeply involved in the life of Beulah as I was growing up. My passion for the church absolutely comes from them. Throughout my childhood, teenage years, and into young adulthood, my mom made sure I was in church—always reminding me that Jesus is the cornerstone of life. She continues to be my most faithful prayer warrior.
I feel incredibly blessed to serve Beulah as both the Church Administrator and the After School Care Director. Family is my top priority, and to me, the church represents family. Growing up in and working with such a loving community at Beulah has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. It brings me joy to care for and support the church family that has helped shape who I am.
The children in our After School Care program are especially close to my heart. I never imagined working with children would be my calling—but Jesus had other plans. He gently led me to them, and they’ve become one of my greatest passions. What a joy it is to spend each day with them and share the love of Jesus!
When I’m not at church, you’ll find me with my family. My three children are my heart, and my husband is my best friend. I love spending time with them, my mom, our extended family—and of course, our dogs Roscoe and Cletus.

Director of Youth Ministries

As a teenager, I knew about God; I just didn’t know who he was and what it meant to be a follower of Christ. I was bored with church. Being a pastor’s son, I was always there, and it wasn’t any fun, and it wasn’t where I wanted to be. It didn’t become fun or something I was even interested in until later in life after many unnecessary wrong turns. My passion in my ministry is to help teenagers become followers of Christ sooner than I did so they don’t have to face the same trials and they can learn from my mistakes. I want them to experience church in a different way than I did. I want to instill in them an excitement for learning about Jesus and growing in their relationship with him.
